The VIFC Annual Summer Picnic and Salmon BBQ is coming up on August 23rd! We’ll have delicious food, great company, time to explore the club orchard, and a tasting table for you to share any of the goodies you’ve made this year from your home-grown fruit.
This event is a benefit of VIFC membership and we are excited to see you there! The club will provide grilled salmon, hot dogs and veggie dogs with all the fixings, veggie burgers, water, lemonade, iced tea, and napkins.
Who: You and your family! Kids are welcome too.
Time: Happy hour starts at 4:00 pm, dinner starts at 5:00 pm
Location: Dr. Bob Norton Memorial Orchard (10030 SW 210th St, Vashon, WA 98070)
What to bring:
Your favorite side dish, appetizer, or dessert that serves 6-8 people
Your own plates and silverware (we’ll have backups in case needed)
Whatever you’d like to drink besides water, iced tea, and lemonade
(Optional) Something you’ve made (cider, shrubs, jams / preserves, etc.) from your home-grown fruit to share at the tasting table
Volunteer options: All VIFC events are run entirely by club volunteers – that’s you! Please let us know here if you’re able to help out with one of the following on the day of the event:
9-11 am – Help set up for the event (10-12 people)
3:45-5 pm – Direct parking (2 people)
4:45-6 pm – Help Elizabeth Vogt serve at the buffet table (2 people)
