Field Event: Developing an Orchard Integrated Pest Management Plan

This workshop will introduce fundamentals of integrated pest management (IPM) in orchards and descriptions of major insects, diseases, wildlife, and weeds, covering common pests and diseases in the PNW for common fruit trees (apple, pear, plum, cherry, berries). Learn how to scout for pests, determine action thresholds and begin to identify management solutions. There will be a follow-up event in the autumn, for those who attend this May event, to summarize actual orchard observations and to pursue writing a IPM plant for their specific orchard or garden. This event is open to anyone interested.
