The Cider Guild

While it’s a well known fact that Vashon is home to some of the best commercial cideries in the Pacific Northwest, our big little island also happens to boast a fervent culture of amateur cider making. And how could it not? The island teems with a boundless supply of heirloom apples that blanket the island’s floor each fall. So what are you supposed do when life gives you apples? We believe the correct answer is: make cider!

Created in 2022, the Cider Guild unites VIFC members across all levels of experience who want to advance their own craft and knowledge of cider and perry making. The Guild hosts quarterly events that focus on seasonably related topics encountered along the cider making journey including tours, talks, hands-on demonstrations and tastings.
